Sunday, June 26th: GV Liederkranz Grein 1850 Summer Concert at 5pm
On Sunday, June 26th at 5pm the GV Liederkranz Grein 1850 will perform a Summer Concert at Castle Greinburg.  The concert will be held outdoors in the beautiful Arkadenhof (the Rittersaal is the alternative event venue, if needed due to weather on the day of the performance).  The GV Liederkranz Grein 1850 has a long connection with castle Greinburg and the Ducal Saxe-Coburg and Gotha Family.
GV Liederkranz Grein was founded in 1850 and is one of the oldest and most traditional associations in the region.  It was founded with the support of Duke Ernst II of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.  The first concert was held on July 11, 1852 in the Rittersaal (Knights Hall) of Castle Greinburg.  Both Duke Ernst II and his wife, Duchess Alexandrine, attended the performance.  The Ducal Saxe-Coburg and Gotha Family has continued their support of GV Liederkranz Grein 1850 throughout many generations – Duke Alfred, Duke Charles Edward and Duchess Viktoria Adelheid all historically served as patrons.  The Ducal Family is proud to have this important and talented association perform in Castle Greinburg in 2016.
